I never have played any of the Gagharv Trilogy games because of the language (and being told that the english translation of the PSP version is a disaster),so I wanted to ask you about the Saturn version.I don't really know much except that it was done by Hudson and has some nice arrangements from Ryo Yonemitsu.
I did this in about 15 minutes, just by editing the data files:

Is the script too different between all the different versions? Which version is the best overall?

That's pretty cool that you were able to insert uncompressed ascii text. I've not actually played the Saturn version before, but I think that the script between the PSP and original PC-98 and PC games are very similar if not the exact same in Japanese for certain parts. I'm not 100% certain on that though. But in theory if it is, that means that once a script is done, you could then apply it to many different versions of Legend of Heroes III.
I think the one that Xalphenos and I originally wanted to focus on was the release for PC, which is a slightly updated version from that of the original release of the game on PC-98.

Re: About the Saturn version
That looks cool. The room looks nothing like the original in the PC-98/Windows/PSP version, so at first glance the Saturn version looks like a (liberal) interpretation of the original setting. I like the visual approach of the Saturn version, but I would rather see a properly translated version of the PC version.
If a translation project for the game is set in motion, I help out to get the speaking manners on par with their personalities. Especially the converting the dynamic between Chris and Julio will be a challenge. I won't be translating.
